Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, on State Route 117 at State Route 273.
Shawn Detwiler, 62, of Lakeview, was driving a 2018 Dodge Journey southbound on S.R. 117 and slowed while attempting a left turn onto S.R. 273 when her vehicle was struck from the rear by a southbound 2007 Mercedes-Benz. The Mercedes then traveled off the left side of the road and struck a stop sign along S.R. 273.
Detwiler did not report any injuries.
The Mercedes driver, Renee Fathy, 55, of New Haven, Ind., and a passenger in her vehicle, Makenzie Saunders, 17, also of New Haven, were also reportedly uninjured.
All were wearing seat belts, according to the crash report.
Damage to the vehicles was minor.
Deputies were assisted by Richland Township fire personnel.
Fathy was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
