Some 28 railcars derailed about 5:18 p.m. Saturday, June 1, along County Road 142 North near West Mansfield.
No injuries were reported, according to deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
The CSX railcars were reportedly transporting grain products.
There were no injuries resulting from the incident and there is no danger to the public, a CSX statement said.
CSX appreciates the quick response of the local first responders. Safety is our highest priority as our teams work to recover the derailed cars and completely restore the area.
The cause of the derailment was not immediately available and remains under investigation.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by Bokescreek Fire and EMS.
