Bellefontaine High School has a new assistant principal to begin the 2024-25 school year.
Lauren Houseman joins BHS after 16 years of service at Springfield City Schools.
Initially, Houseman was a seventh-grade English Language Arts teacher for 10 years. She then served as a junior high instructional coach for six years.
Lauren has enjoyed her first few weeks on the job at BHS.
“Everyone has been very kind and welcoming. The school has a community feel that I really appreciate. I was ready for a change, and it was time for the next step in my career.”
Houseman has some immediate goals in her new role.
“I want to establish relationships with the students and staff, and I want to help create a positive culture in the building.”
In her spare time, Houseman enjoys spending time with her family, reading and running.
Lauren and her husband, Justin, have four children, ages 21, 18, 8 and 5.
Mrs. Houseman succeeds Cliff Core as the BHS assistant principal. Mr. Core is the new BHS principal.
