Nellie Marie Dysert, 87, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Logan Acres Care Center.

She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on November 5, 1936, to the late Marion Martin and Donna Jane (Alexander) Parmer.

She is also preceded in death by siblings: Thelma Parmer Stanley, Merle Parmer, Marion Parmer, and Russell Parmer.

She leaves behind her children: Jimmy J. (Jennifer) Dysert II of Belle Center, Ohio and Bobby (Jackie) Dysert of Muncie, Indiana; grandchildren: Michele (Mike) Brown, Darci (Steve) Fox, Bobby Lee (Kim) Dysert; great grandchildren: Mickayla (Matt) Harding, Marina Fox, Avery Fox, Zachary Fox, Even Fox, and Alexus Dysert; great-great grandchildren: Mason and Markus Harding; siblings: Maxine True of Russells Point and Larry (Teddie) Parmer of Florida and many nieces and nephews.

Nellie was a graduate of Bellefontaine High School. She later worked as a State Tested Nursing Assistant in different healthcare facilities. She found much joy in playing cards with her friends or watching any movie in which John Wayne appeared in. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.

Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a funeral service at 4 p.m. Thursday, January 11, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be two hours prior from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.
