The Benjamin Logan National Honor Society announces that its officers Taytum Daniels, Addison Scott and Dylan Vance have been awarded a $1,000 grant from the National Association of Secondary School Principals.

This grant will help support the costs associated with the student-led service project, Raider Relay.

“This grant is a landmark achievement for our students and our school,” said Kelly Gibson, National Honor Society adviser at Benjamin Logan.

“I am super proud and excited to report that Taytum, Addison, and Dylan applied for, and were awarded, this grant to help offset the cost of running Raider Relay, a project that embodies the spirit of service and leadership we nurture in our students.”

This grant will allow the NHS chapter to expand the scope of Raider Relay, increasing its impact within the community and providing more opportunities for student engagement in service activities.

The 2025 NASSP Student Service Grant is the first of its kind focused on funding student-led service initiatives. The Benjamin Logan NHS officers’ successful application included contributions from High School Principal Annette Ragma-Alatorre, further showcasing the collaborative effort within our school community.

“If you have a chance to see these young leaders, please congratulate them,” added Gibson. “Their initiative and leadership have brought recognition to Benjamin Logan and highlighted the impactful service projects our students are capable of leading.”
