Bryan E. Horn, 45, of Forest, was charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, along with possession of drug paraphernalia, related to a traffic stop about 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office on patrol in the area of State Route 235 near Powhattan Path observed Horn operating a vehicle pulling a trailer with no visible license plate on the trailer and initiated the stop.
While speaking with the driver, Horn, deputies observed that his eyes were pinpoint and that there was white saliva around his mouth.
They noted that the defendant appeared overly nervous for the situation and was speaking quickly. When Horn opened the glove box, deputies observed a Narcan nasal spray in its packaging and they asked him if there were any illegal items in the vehicle. He replied that if there was, it would be a marijuana pipe or marijuana roaches.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies recovered suspected methamphetamine. While placing the defendant under arrest, deputies also recovered a Gabapentin pill in his pocket.
He was transported to the Logan County Jail.
