A teenage motorist was cited following a two-vehicle crash Friday, April 11, near the U.S. Route 33 interchange on the west side of Bellefontaine, deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.
Briella Mackesy, 17, of Woodstock, was cited for failure to yield after her 2012 Chevy Cruze collided with a 2023 Honda Pilot around 2:45 p.m. along westbound State Route 540.
Deputies report Mackesy was attempting to turn onto westbound U.S. 33 when she failed to yield to an eastbound Honda Pilot driven by Heidi Michael, 44, of Bellefontaine. Michael had a green turn arrow to merge onto westbound U.S. 33 when the crash occurred, deputies report.
The Honda Pilot sustained heavy damage, while the Cruze had minor damage. No injuries were reported.
