Deputies handle non-injury crashes

Cameron Edge, 24, of North Lewisburg, was cited for improper turn at an intersection Friday, Nov. 8, after his vehicle struck a parked car in the area of State Route 287 and County Road 153 in Zane Township.

Deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the intersection around 11:25 a.m. on a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a 2006 tan Honda Pilot and a 2008 black BMW.

Edge reportedly was eastbound in the Honda along S.R. 287 when he attempted a left turn onto northbound C.R. 153. He kept turning into oncoming lanes and struck the unoccupied BMW.

Damage was disabling to both vehicles and Edge’s vehicle was towed from the scene.

• Aaron Roy, 20, of Bellefontaine, was cited for failure to control after a single vehicle crash about 3:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, on Township Road 200 at County Road 18.

Roy was driving a southbound 2021 Honda Civic on T.R. 200 when the vehicle pulled from the stop at the intersection and traveled off the left side of C.R. 18, where struck a ditch before traveling back onto T.R. 200 and coming to rest.

The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, told deputies his accelerator stuck and he was unable to stop. He then had to hit the ditch to avoid colliding with other vehicles and use his emergency brake to stop.

Damage to the car was disabling. It was towed from the scene.

• Charles Harringtion, 19, of North Lewisburg, was cited for failure to yield after a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon on State Route 287 at County Road 41.

Harrington was driving a 2007 Chevrolet HHR southeast on S.R. 287 about 3:20 p.m. when he failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by a southwest bound 2020 Ram 2500.

Neither Harrington, nor the Ram’s driver, Benjamin Risinger, 28, of Westerville, reported any injuries. The drivers were wearing their seat belts.

Damage to the Chevrolet was disabling and it was towed from the scene. The Ram sustained minor damage.
