A Belle Center man sustained suspected serious injuries in a Sunday night, Aug. 10, minbike crash in the 15600 block of State Route 235 on the north side of Indian Lake.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report Cole Wilt, 35, was operating 2021 Honda Monkey minibike eastbound on S.R. 235 about 11:10 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and went off the right side of the road, where the bike and the rider came to rest.

Wilt, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported by Huntsville EMS to Lima Memorial Hospital.

An update on his condition was not immediately available.

Alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash, according to reports.

• A single-vehicle, minor injury crash was reported about 11:05 p.m. Sunday in the 2900 block of State Route 47 East.

Deputies report Theodore Fuller, 71, of Marion, was driving an eastbound 2002 Ford F-150 pickup truck on S.R. 47 when it failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the left side of the road where it struck a mailbox, a tree and a fence before coming to rest.

Fuller, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained suspected minor injuries. He was taken by Tri-Valley EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital.

The driver said the headlights of a westbound vehicle blinded him prior to the crash, but deputies were unable to locate the other vehicle.

Damage to the truck was disabling, and it was towed from the scene.
