Timothy Jacks, 48, of Bellefontaine, was transported by Indian Lake EMS to the Mary Rutan Hospital helipad and then flown by CareFlight helicopter to Grant Medical Center. Medical staff at Grant declined the Examiner’s request Sunday morning for a condition update on Jacks.

A southbound 2004 Jeep Liberty stopped on Lincoln Boulevard traveled into the intersection of U.S. Route 33 and was struck by Jacks’ eastbound 2022 Harley Davidson. The collision caused Jacks, who was reportedly not wearing a helmet, to be thrown from the motorcycle.

A passenger in the Jeep, Jonah Powell, 38, of Belle Center, sustained possible injuries and was transported by Huntsville EMS to MRH. He was reportedly wearing a seat belt.

The Jeep’s driver, Seth Headings, 39, who resides along Lincoln Boulevard in Russells Point, did not report any injuries.

Headings was cited for failure to yield.
