Jacqueline Bray, 40, of Bellefontaine, was lodged in the Logan County Jail Monday, Feb. 20, after officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department encountered her while bringing her child home.
Police on patrol encountered four juveniles around 2:30 a.m. and transported them back to a residence at 415 Garfield Ave. The mother of one of the juveniles was identified as Bray and was found to have a warrant for failure to appear.
Officers stood by with the juveniles at the residence until another adult could arrive.
Intoxicated pedestrian lodged
John Sheeley, 52, at-large, was arrested for a probation violation following an interaction with law enforcement around 7:15 p.m., Monday, Feb. 20.
Officers were dispatched to Tri-Link Storage, 401 Water Ave., in reference to an intoxicated pedestrian. Dispatchers were advised it was the suspect walking around inside the fenced-in storage facility.
Upon their arrival, officers observed a pickup truck backed into an unlit area of the property.
The engine was turned off and officers found the suspect sitting inside the truck smoking a cigarette. Sheeley told police he was homeless and living in his truck.
Signs of impairment were observed, as officers reported a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from Sheeley.
The business owner was contacted and told police that although the suspect should not be there and he did not want him back, he did not wish to pursue charges.
Officers contacted the suspect’s probation officer, who advised Sheeley should be lodged for violating terms of his probation.
The pickup truck was released to a sober person and Sheeley was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
