Michael Jerome Dee, beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away Sept. 19, 2024, at the age of 70 in his sleep at his home in Homestead, Fla.
Born Jan. 24, 1954, to the late James E. and Virginia Ritter Dee, Michael and his family relocated to Southern Florida when his children were young.
Michael was known for his kindness, humor and love for his family. He is survived by his son, Michael Jerome Dee Jr., daughter-in-law Nicole Dee, his daughter Erin Byers, his son-in-law John Byers, his sisters Barbara Coons-Coder and Katherine McClure, sister-in-law Gale (Edwin) Dee, and his cherished grandchildren, Roman, Blakely, Chase and Kendall, who brought great joy to his life.
Michael’s life was filled with moments of laughter and good times. He spent his time telling stories with friends, fishing and playing pool. He spent his days doing what he loved, being on the water and conversing with all types of people. He will be deeply missed, but forever remembered by all who knew him.
A private celebration of life will be conducted at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mike’s honor to a charity of the donor’s choice.
