Mary Helen Weller, 92, of Bellefontaine, passed away Thursday evening, October 3, 2024, at Ayden Healthcare of Belle Springs in Bellefontaine.

Mary was born in Belle Center on January 14, 1932, to the late J. Arthur and Cleo (Torrence) Jenkins.  She married Robert Earl Weller in Bellefontaine on January 20, 1952, and he preceded her in death on May 19, 2014.  Mary was also preceded in death by a son Michael Weller (January 4, 1963), a daughter Debbie Weller Benedict (March 23, 2004), and sisters Phyllis and husband Don Baker, and Margaret “Peggy” Seaton.

Mary is survived by son and daughter-in-law, John E. and Suzan Weller of Bellefontaine; 3 grandchildren: Kristen Underwood, Heather (Dan) Storm, and Brandon (Dawn) Bailey; 8 great-grandchildren: Mykah, Laylah, Aliviah, Kaylie, Brileigh, Zalaney, Riggs, and Brantlee; 3 special nieces: Anne Heinlen, Jane Baker, and Karen (Tom) Primavera; a special nephew Sean Pasquet; as well as a great-niece and great-nephew Grace and Brady Pasquet.

A 1950 graduate of Huntsville High School, Mary worked at Evie’s Grocery Store, Hadley’s Studios and Lou’s IGA Foodliner.  She retired from Citizens Federal Savings & Loan in Bellefontaine in 1995.  Mary was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine, a member of the United Methodist Samaritan Women Circle, and a former member of the Bonafada Circle of Kings Daughter.

Pastor Joe Ziraldo will officiate a memorial service on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 11am Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (10-11am).  Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery following the service.
