Mary Elizabeth Cooksey, 69, of Zanesfield, passed away at 8:06 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She was born in Bellefontaine on March 10, 1954, to the late William H. and Mary Joan (Hertenstein) Cooksey.
She is survived by her brothers, Donald H. (Melodie) Cooksey and Richard H. (Debbie) Cooksey; and several nieces and nephews.
Mary worked on the family farm in her younger years, then went to work as a librarian at the Zanesfield Library, helped at Green Hills and also worked at Walmart.
Pastor Wayne Downing will officiate a graveside service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Zanesfield Cemetery.
