Tyler J. Sullivan, 33, of 4886 Township Road 56, Huntsville, was charged with theft and possession of a schedule IV drug following an incident Monday, June 5.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to his address about 9:30 p.m. after the victim of the theft reportedly had stopped in to confront Sullivan.

The victim told deputies that Sullivan had stayed with him the previous evening and when he woke up, he found that several items were missing and Sullivan had left.

Sullivan’s father told deputies that when his son arrived home, he had two record players that did not belong to him and he stated that the victim had given them to him.

The defendant had left the residence prior to deputies’ arrival, but he returned home a short time later. He was placed under arrest for the theft of the record players and was transported to the Logan County Jail.

At the jail, deputies located a small vile containing six Xanax bars on his person. Sullivan stated he had a prescription for the Xanax, but he was unable to produce one, deputies said.
