Nicholas Dolan, 24, of Lakeview, was charged with domestic violence around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, following a physical altercation at an apartment complex at 500 Gunntown Road.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were dispatched to the residence after a report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who reported that Dolan struck her in the face during an argument about a dehumidifier. Officers were shown a photo of a handprint on the right side of the victim’s face.
Dolan left the victim’s apartment and was located in a neighboring unit. He claimed the argument began when he returned home, and that he was holding his daughter during that part of the dispute. He denied hitting the victim and attributed the redness on her face to her temper.
Officers placed Dolan under arrest for domestic violence. He was transported to the Logan County Jail without incident.
