Nicholas D. Marmon, 35, of 5647 Township Road 4, Quincy, was charged with domestic violence relating to an incident early Monday morning, July 17.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched about 4:35 a.m. to 207 Canby St., Quincy, to a report of a man and woman arguing about a vehicle.
Deputies spoke with Marmon and his wife, along with Marmon’s aunt who lives at the residence.

Marmon’s wife told deputies that she and Marmon had been in an argument, and he then became violent, reportedly grabbing her arms and putting her in a headlock. He caused bruises on her foot, inner right arm and a skinned right knee, deputies said.
She told deputies she went outside and sat in the driver’s seat of her vehicle, and the defendant reportedly reached in through the open window and put his hands around her neck.

Marmon told deputies that he had been arguing with his wife while she was sitting in the vehicle, but stated that he did not put his hands on her.

He was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail.
