Dale Thatcher, 27, of Bellefontaine, was arrested following a domestic dispute reported around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, to officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department.
Police were dispatched to a residence on Henry Street following a 911 call and a report that the victim had just fled a residence in the 600 block carrying a small child.
Police arrived on scene and made contact with Thatcher, who reported he’d been victimized and assaulted during the dispute.
A short time later, officers on scene received a call from dispatch that the victim had shown up at the police department with visible injuries, and due to the nature of those injuries Thatcher should be arrested.
He was charged with strangulation and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
