Michael B. Kizer, 41, of 301 N. Main St., DeGraff, was issued a summons for domestic violence related to an incident Saturday, Oct. 14.
Deputies were dispatched to his address about 1 p.m. in reference to an active domestic violence complaint.
Kizer opened the door when deputies arrived and said he and his girlfriend had gotten into an argument about putting the dog outside. He said nobody had been struck or hit.
However, deputies spoke with his live-in girlfriend, who was visibly upset and crying. She stated they had been in an argument about the dog, and that Kizer had pulled the door open as she was trying to hold it closed. She stated he then grabbed her right arm and gave her a push.
The girlfriend said they continued to argue and that she went into an upstairs bedroom and sat against the door to keep Kizer out of the room. She stated that he was banging on the door and kicking the door, but did not make entry into the room.
Deputies reportedly observed redness on her arm.
Kizer was issued the summons and he agreed to leave the home until after his court date.
