New Logan County Family Court Magistrate Sarah J. Warren takes the oath of office Thursday afternoon, July 11, as administered to her by Judge Natasha Kennedy, left. Warren’s husband and two children assisted by holding the Bible for the ceremony. The new magistrate served for 10 years as a felony prosecutor with the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office. She has a bachelor’s degree in business from Urbana University and received her law degree from Ohio Northern University, graduating in 2010. For the last seven months, she has worked in private practice, and recently heard about the magistrate opening following the retirement of Magistrate Richard Meyer. “I’m excited to be a public servant again,” Magistrate Warren said. “That’s where my heart is.” Judge Kennedy and Judge Kim Kellogg-Martin welcomed her to the new position. “We are very glad to have Sarah join our team; we have a very special team here,” Judge Kellogg-Martin said.
