Lucille Helen Ramsey, age 87, of Marysville, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Walnut Crossing.

A lively and fun-loving soul, Lucille retired from O. M. Scott and Sons after 34 years as payroll manager. She and her late husband, Ralph, were longtime members of New California Presbyterian Church where she was past president of the Womens’ Association Friendship Circle.

They also held membership in Windsor and Community Seniors where they participated in many activities including The Windsor Singers. They both enjoyed serving for Memorial Hospital’s mobile meals program.

Lucille and Ralph were “snowbirds” in Frostproof, Florida, and members of the Camp Club of Central Ohio. She was a passionate Bingo player and had a reputation of winning BIG! She also enjoyed crafts and quilting. More than anything, she was dearly devoted to her whole family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was born July 19, 1935 in Beckemeyer, Illinois to the late Martin and Emelia Haukap Reichert. She was also preceded in death in 2022 by her husband of almost 50 years, Ralph W. Ramsey; her siblings, Edgar Reichert, June Martin and Dorothy Gwilliams; and a daughter, Susan Reasoner.

She is survived by her children, Robert “Bob” Edwards and Janet Peterson, both of Marysville, Steven (Kim) Ramsey of West Liberty, Vivian (Mark) Brewer of Mt. Victory and Jeffrey (Kimi) Ramsey and Michael (Penny) Ramsey, both of Bellefontaine; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; her twin brother, Lewis (Nadine) Reichert of Texas; a brother-in-law, Bill Gwilliams of Florida; a son-in-law, Dana Reasoner; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at Underwood Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m. Rev. Earl Dunbar will officiate. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 1, at Ridgeway Cemetery.
