Louis Grant McKinnon, Jr., 67, of Lakeview, OH passed on March 17, 2023, at home surrounded by his family and loved ones.
He was born on July 12, 1955, in Bellefontaine, OH, to the late Wanetta “Neta” and Louis G. “Jeff” McKinnon, Sr. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Draper. Louie was a 1973 graduate of Indian Lake High School and retired as a forklift driver at Plastipak in Jackson Center, OH. Louie had a passion for NASCAR, wrestling, karate, and music. Wherever Louie was, you would find music around him. Ultimately, his pride and joy were all his kids.
Survivors include his two daughters, Jessi (Sam) Varian and Jami McKinnon. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Caitlynn (Chris) Wickline, Krista Varian, Garrison Houchin, Kaci Houchin, Sammy Varian, Tyler Houchin, Lexi Varian, Jersey Jo, and Paisley Lou, and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings, Lori Dee Zwiebel, Jeff (Pat) McKinnon, and Bill (Lisa) McKinnon, He also has several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Per Louie’s request, there will be no services at this time and the family will hold a celebration of his life at a later date at the convenience of his family.
