The Logan County Visitors Bureau announced this week that the Logan County Visitors Guide has been awarded the prestigious RUBY Award for Best Travel Guide and Planner by the Ohio Travel Association.
The RUBY Awards, which recognize outstanding efforts in destination marketing, honored the guide as one of the most innovative and creative ways to showcase Logan County’s tourism offerings.
The award was presented at the Ohio Conference on Travel, the premier event for tourism professionals across the state, and was sponsored by Ohio Magazine.
Hundreds of entries from all over Ohio competed for top honors, making the recognition of the Logan County Visitors Guide especially significant.
“We are incredibly excited and proud to receive the RUBY Award for our Visitors Guide,” said Anna Louden, Logan County Visitors Bureau director. “This guide is a reflection of the amazing attractions Logan County has to offer, and it’s great to see it recognized at a state level.”
The Logan County Visitors Bureau would like to extend a special thank you to Elle A. Design, whose creativity and design expertise played a key role in the guide’s success. The guide can be viewed at www.experiencelogancounty.com.
In addition to the RUBY Award, Logan County was also a finalist in three other categories:
• Innovation in Travel Marketing: for the countywide kiosks;
• Event Campaign: for the Logan County Ice Cream Trail; and
• Print Media: for the Logan County Things to Do/Events rack card.
“We are proud of the efforts our team has made to promote Logan County and honored to have been finalists in multiple categories,” Louden added.
During the event, the Logan County Visitors Bureau Director was also recognized for completing the Ohio Tourism Leadership Academy, a leadership program by the Ohio Travel Association.
“This has been an invaluable experience for me,” said Louden. “Networking with industry leaders from across the state will help us continue to make strides in tourism for Logan County.”
