A Bellefontaine man was charged with first-degree felony rape after a Logan County grand jury handed up an indictment earlier this week.
Davi L. Stoltzfus, 31, is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old city girl in 2021. The victim reported the assault in 2022 to detectives with the Bellefontaine Police Department, who turned over their findings to the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office.
Other indictments charged 28 other defendants:
• Blaze B. Kiser, 37, of Bellefontaine: grand theft of a motor vehicle, a felony of the fourth degree; and possession of heroin, a felony of the fifth degree;
• Aaron R. Bensman, 49, of Bellefontaine: aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree;
• Ricki L. Downing, 25, of Bellefontaine: aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree;
• Carrie A. Zweifel, 54, of West Liberty: two counts of aggravated possession of drugs felonies of the fifth degree; possession of cocaine, a felony of the fifth degree; and possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree;
• Robert W. Wilcox, 35, West Mansfield: aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree; and possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a felony of the fifth degree;
• Christopher R. McGee, 31, of Hattiesburg, Miss.: having weapons while under disability, a felony of the third degree; carrying a concealed weapon, a felony of the fourth degree; and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a felony of the fourth degree;
• Kyle W. Cox, 48, of Wapakoneta: two counts of theft, felonies of the fifth degree;
• Matthew I. McKenzie, 33, of Sidney: receiving stolen property, a felony of the fourth degree; and failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a felony of the third degree;
