Three local students earned top honors in the Rotary Four-Way Test Speech Contest held recently at Bellefontaine High School, where five students from area schools delivered speeches focused on ethics, leadership, and service through the lens of Rotary’s Four-Way Test.
First place went to Greyson Wagner, a Benjamin Logan High School senior, who received $200. Jacob Moreland, a Bellefontaine High School junior, placed second and earned $150, while Benjamin Logan junior Oliver Morse finished third and received $50.
Student speeches were judged using the Rotary District 6670 Four-Way Test Speech Contest Judging Form, with emphasis on understanding and clearly explaining all four principles, originality of application, organization, delivery, and overall audience engagement.
Wagner and Moreland will advance to the district-level competition set for February 22, 2026, at noon at Wright State University.
Rotary’s Four-Way Test asks four guiding questions: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
