Linda C. Shroyer, 75, of Russells Point, OH, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023, at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine, OH, surrounded by family and friends.
Linda was born on August 30, 1947 in Birmingham, AL. She was a daughter of the late James “Grady” Matthews, Sr. and Katherine Tidwell Garrett. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary L. Fouse, a grandson, Jeremi Zerbe, a brother, Lonnie Matthews, and stepfather, Clabe Garrett.
Linda is survived by a son, Carlos E. Fouse, Jr. of Sidney, OH, a daughter, Carolyn L. (Roger) Wheatley of Montpelier, IN, six grandchildren, Jessica Edwards, Roger Anderson, Danielle Heidel, Amanda Fouse, Tasha Rudd, and Daniele Datres, three siblings, Jimmy Matthews, Jr. of Lakeview, OH, Becky Morgan of Richmond, KY, and Joyce Gadd of West Carrollton, OH, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Linda was a special treasure to all those who knew her. Linda earned her LPN license and worked for several years at various jobs before retiring. She loved being a mom and a grandma. Family meant everything to her. She looked forward to spending time with her family at canoe trips, pool parties, and holidays. Linda enjoyed gardening, telling stories, and was an avid collector of Mickey Mouse. A special thank you to all her extended family and friends who helped care for her during these last several months.
Reverend Bryan Meadows will begin funeral services 11:00 am, Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview. Visitation is Friday, April 14th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Burial is in Huntsville Cemetery.
