Larry G. Parks, 76, of Russells Point, Oh passed away early Saturday morning, September 14, 2024, at Wapakoneta Manor.
Larry was born on January 26, 1948, in Fonde, KY, a son of the late Mike D. and Lois June Buckner Parks. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Steven and two sisters, Vicky Sowders, and Jennifer Parks Davis.
Larry is survived by a son, Michael Parks of Russells Point, a daughter, MaRessa (Perry) Clevenger of Ada, OH, four grandchildren, Michaela, WickaAnn, Percylayne, and Damien, two great grandchildren, Riley Ann, and Savanna Jo, seven siblings, Melody Parks, and Terry (Melanie) Parks, both of South Carolina, Pat Parks, and Bruce Parks, both of Fonde, KY, Timmy Parks of Tennessee, Brian Parks of Raleigh, NC, and Mary (Bossy) Lambdin of Middlesboro, KY, and several nieces and nephews.
Larry was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam. He worked at Ross Aluminum for 19 years and then Honda Engine Plant in Anna, OH for 13 years, retiring in 2001. Larry enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. He loved spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, September 26, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Dayton National Cemetery at 2 p.m., with full military honors.
