MARYSVILLE — Marysville police are trying to solve the mystery of thousands of dollars being found in two separate business restrooms in the city in less than a week.
On April 27, An employee of Avalon Theatre, 121 S. Main St., Marysville, found $25,000 hidden in the restroom after noticing a person acting suspiciously the night before during a hypnosis show at the theatre, according to various sources.
An employee of the KFC restaurant, 839 Delaware Ave., Marysville, contacted police Thursday, May 2, to report finding $12,000 in the restaurant’s bathroom.
Police have yet to determine if the incidents are connected, but are working with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the U.S. Secret Service to see if the cash found is connected to any criminal investigations.
