Lakeview man arrested for domestic violence

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched about 9:50 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4,  to a Kiowa Path, Lakeview, residence on a report of physical altercation between a male and a female in the yard.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with resident Gerald Hines, 64, who was seated in an outside patio area.

Hines told deputies he and his female “house guest” had a disagreement that got “out of control.”

When Hines told the woman to leave, she refused and he “escorted” her off the property, according to reports.

Deputies ascertained that the female victim, who they observed had cuts on her arms, a forearm and an elbow, had been living at the residence for about a month at Hines’ request and was not merely a guest as he claimed.

She told deputies she was uncertain why Hines got upset with her, but that he had grabbed her by the arms, threw her and she “landed hard” in a fall.

Indian Lake EMS checked the victim at the scene, but she refused to be transported to the hospital.

The suspect was arrested for domestic violence and was transported to the Logan County Jail where he was lodged.
