Lakeview celebrates library restoration

“This is an event we’ve been anticipating for five months,” Beverly Arlequeeuw, Logan
County Libraries director, told a small crowd in front of 165 E. Lake Street, Lakeview, on
Thursday, Aug. 22.

People had gathered to welcome the new, temporary location for the Lakeview Branch
Library. Originally located at 130 N. Main Street in Lakeview, the library was destroyed in the March 14 tornado disaster.

Now, thanks to the generosity and support of individuals and businesses—some from
outside of Logan County—Lakeview has a library ready to serve the community.
