Indian Lake’s boys basketball suffered its first Central Buckeye Conference loss of the season Friday, falling 40-34 on the road at Graham.

The Lakers drop to 7-8 overall, 5-1 in league play. Graham improves to 6-9, 4-2.

Indian Lake fell behind early Friday and never recovered as the Falcons opened up a 12-7 lead after the first quarter. Graham was able to extend its lead to double-digits on the strength of an 11-5 advantage in the second quarter, and the Falcons took a 23-12 lead into halftime.

The Lakers carried play in the third quarter, cutting into the deficit by outscoring the Falcons 16-9 to draw to within a couple of baskets entering the fourth quarter, 42-38.

Graham was able to stave off the late comeback attempt, however. The Falcons held Indian Lake to just six points in the fourth quarter to secure the win.

Caiden Nicol led the Lakers with 12 points. Camdon Tuttle added 10 points.

Ben Sells led all scorers with 15 points for the Falcons.

Indian Lake won the JV game, 51-48. Cooper Hall led the way for the JV Lakers, scoring 26 points.

The Lakers return to action Tuesday with a road matchup at Springfield Shawnee.
