Rapp selected as Kiwanian of the Year

The Kiwanis Club of Bellefontaine made special plans for the club’s centennial anniversary when they gathered Thursday, Oct. 2, at the American Legion.

Members will honor this milestone in November of 2026 with a gala celebration. The club invites past members and community supporters interested in joining the festivities to reach out to the club at Kiwanisclubofbellefontaine@gmail.com.

The club was chartered November 8, 1926, by the Kenton Kiwanis Club and the efforts of C.V. Hadley.

Hadley served as president while W.D. Coen served as vice president, S.S. Smucker was treasurer and H.W. Cassell was secretary.

The Kiwanis Club of Bellefontaine has a longstanding commitment to serving children and improving our community.

Also at the meeting, outgoing president, Hannah Southwood Blake, announced Vicki Rapp as the Kiwanian of the Year and presented Rapp with a plaque for her outstanding contributions to the Bellefontaine Kiwanis Club.

The new 2025-2026 officers and board members were installed by Lt. Governor Michael Benanzer. The new incoming officers are: Todd White, president; Hannah Southwood Blake, immediate past president; Kyle Springs, president elect; Tim Notestine, vice president; Brad Kunze, treasurer; and Kelli Bader, secretary.

Board members are Vicki Rapp, Kevin Braig, Jacob Estes, Dave Woods, Tony Beck, Julie Schrader and Kris Myers.
