Children must be five years of age before August 1, 2024, to enter kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year:
• Bellefontaine Elementary School — Screening set for Monday, April 22; Tuesday, April 23; Wednesday, April 24; and Thursday, April 25; to set up an appointment, contact the elementary school at (937) 599-4331.
• Benjamin Logan Elementary — The school will begin taking appointments for kindergarten screening Feb. 1, call the elementary school at (937) 592-4838 to schedule a screening appointment; kindergarten screening dates are: Wednesday, May 1; Thursday, May 2; and Friday, May 3.
• Indian Lake Elementary School — Wednesday, March 20 (8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.); Thursday, March 21 (8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and 4 to 7 p.m.); and Friday, March 22 (8 to 11:30 a.m.); call Indian Lake Elementary School at 686-READ (7323) to schedule a time for your student; complete the ILES Kindergarten Registration Form at https://www.ils-k12.org/laker_news/kindergarten_registration and return it to ILES by Thursday, Feb. 1.
• Riverside Elementary — April 4, 5, take the following documents with you the day of registration: birth certificate, Social Security card, medical/shot record, custody papers (if applicable), and proof of residence; call Riverside Elementary at (937) 585-5891 ext. 4310 to set up an appointment time; preschool registration, April 9, 4 to 6 p.m., and April 10, 8 to 11 a.m., no appointment necessary on those days, must be 4 years old on or before Aug. 1 and potty trained, take the following documents with you the day of screening: birth certificate, parent driver’s license, Social Security card, medical/ shot record, custody papers (if applicable), proof of residence; parents attending April 9 need to use the County Road 24 driveway, park in the lot at the north end of the building; direct questions to Erica Heitkamp at (937) 585-5981 ext: 4050.
• West Liberty-Salem Elementary — Friday, May 10, and Monday, May 13; to set up a screening appointment for your student, visit wlstigers.org and click on the News article titled, “Kindergarten Screening 2024-2025.”
