Ben Logan
The Ben Logan middle school teams had a tri-match with Kenton Ridge and Mechanicsburg on Saturday.
Both teams lost to Kenton Ridge. The seventh graders lost 25-21 and 25-23.
The eighth grade lost 25-23 and 25-17. They had nine blocks, 10 kills, 20 assists and 22 digs.
Both squads got wins over Mechanicsburg. The seventh grade won 25-23 and 25-17.
The eighth grade won 25-5, 25-15. They had 13 aces, seven kills, and seven assists.
Lakers defeat Chieftains
The Indian Lake volleyball teams defeated Bellefontaine on Saturday.
The Lakers won the eighth grade match 25-18, 25-12.
For Bellefontaine, Brooklyn Muck was 9-of-10 serving, Amanda Moran had four kills, Brookelyn Oaks was 11 of 13 on serve receive, and Jazmin Nelson had a solo block.
In the seventh grade match, Indian Lake won 26-24, 25-11.
For Bellefontaine, Skylar Phan was 11-of-11 serving with three aces, Alivia Rogan had four kills, Braelynn Neer had two kills and five digs, Arianna Rumer was 10-of-10 serving with two aces.
BHS splits with Shawnee
On Monday, Bellefontaine played at Shawnee.
The eighth grade team won 25-13, 25-6. Muck was 12-of-12 serving with five aces, and also had five digs. Gianna Davis was 14-of-14 serving with eight aces. Nelson and Ellijana Bosiljavec each had two aces. Alexis Hogan had four assists and three digs.
The seventh grade team lost 25-23, 25-19. Phan was 11-of-11 serving with three aces; Rogan had seven digs and 10 kills; Neer had three digs, four kills and three aces, and Rumer had six digs and five assists.
Tigers down Greenon
The West Liberty-Salem teams defeated Greenon on Monday.
The eighth grade won in two, 25-21 and 25-10. They had 13 kills, 13 assists, 14 aces and 27 digs.
The seventh grade squad won 25-13, 20-25 and 25-16. They recorded 10 kills, had nine assists, 13 aces, and 27 digs.
Riverside falls to Bethel
Riverside traveled to Bethel on Monday.
The seventh grade team lost 25-14, 25-22. Bella Shultz had six points, Ruth Morrison four, and Bella Monnin three. Shultz had three aces, with one each for Morrison and Monnin. Avery Wheeler, Paloma Quixan and Kinsley Crawford also contributed.
The eighth graders lost 25-23, 25-17. Bella Robinson had 11 points and five aces; Gracie Reach four points and two aces; Izzy Hudson three points and three aces; with Aliya Salo and Sofia Butler also making good plays.

Lakers run at Eaton
The Indian Lake girls finished 12th at the Eaton invitational on Saturday. The top five runners were Abby Bihn (3rd, 12:45); Caroline Jones (58th, 15:43); Abby Arnett (134th, 19:34); Ella Wu (146th, 20:53); and Tenzlee Pyles (170th, 25:05).
The boys had four runners. Their results were Hayden Kuhlke (17th, 12:18); Hayden Thompson (83rd, 13:59); Dalton Young (89th, 14:09); and Finn Ammons (207th, 29:12).
WL-S compete at Troy
The Big Orange boys took first place at the Troy Twilight invitational on Saturday. There were 28 teams in the field.
The top five finishers were Milo Matthews (5th, 11:22); Caizen Anders (9th, 11:33); Zeke Lauck (16th, 11:41); Chafer Matthews (22nd, 11:51) and Liam Harrington (26th, 11:54).
The girls team was third out of 23 teams. The top five runners were Nika Matthews (7th, 12:52); Elayna Hoover (16th, 13:10); Elin Leichty (22nd, 13:22); Iris Meister (31st, 13:50); and Lilly Woodruff (59th, 14:31).
Raiders in action at Triad
The Ben Logan boys middle school team was second at the Triad Invitational out of 10 schools.
The top five runners were Zayden Wilson (10th, 14:28); John Tingley (12th, 14:51); Hunter Winnen (13th, 15:03); Brooks Biden (15th, 15:23); and Obadiah Fahle (19th, 17:29). Kolt Hays (20:23) was 28th.
The girls team finished in third place. The top five runners were Pippa Zvansky (3rd, 13:42); Shelby Siefring (9th, 15:00); Makinnly Allen (20th, 16:54); Elizabeth Bramlage (24th, 17:35); and Paige Courtney (26th, 17:54).
Chiefs at Dublin Jerome
The Bellefontaine boys were fifth in a field of 11 at the Dublin Jerome invitational.
Jackson Maus (12th, 11:43), Sennett Stolly (23rd, 12:23); Camden Vollrath (28th, 12:30); Bennett Lang (64th, 13:28); and Lucas Lin (78th, 13:44) were the top five runners.
The BHS girls took 10th place out of 13 teams. The top five runners were Kylie Lowe (7th, 13:16); Baya Deal (13th, 13:22); Alivia Owens (61st, 15:45); Mia Regula (100th, 17:32); and Bentley Drake (111th, 17:57). Myra Varner was 113th (18:04).

Raiders top Urbana
The Ben Logan teams defeated Urbana last week.
The seventh grade team won 36-0 and is now 3-0.
Carter Crumm had 269 yards and four touchdowns on 11 carries. Bexley Ruble had four runs for 33 yards and a touchdown. Crumm and Bryson Greiner each had six tackles, and Bentley Lewis had three tackles and two sacks.
The eighth grade Raiders won 30-6. Nevada Coleman had 12 carries for 175 yards and three scores. Luke Long completed 3 of 6 passes for 55 yards.
Anson Nichols had 59 yards receiving, a a touchdown and two 2-point conversions. Stone Angles had four tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble.
