Jon Arthur Wallace, 59, of Grove City, Ohio, joined his Heavenly Father at 10:30 AM Monday, July 3, 2023.

Jon was born in Lima, OH, on May 11, 1964, the son of the late Don and Mary (Blodgett) Wallace and graduated from Indian Lake High School in 1982. In 1982, Jon met the Love of His Life, Debbie (Manahan) Wallace, who survives. They were together for over 41 years in this life’s journey, taken from his loved ones too soon. They talked many times of walking this path of life together and one day retiring on a beach somewhere!

Jon and Debbie have two beautiful daughters, who also survive; Ashley Wallace and Sarah Wallace. Sarah was Jon’s best friend and because he was a master of all trades, he passed that down to Sarah. Ashley gave to her father, four of his life’s treasures, who called him Papaw; Granddaughters Alexis and Kennedi; Grandsons Evan and Archer. Jon has 5 sisters and 3 brothers; Melanie Rapp, Angela (Jerry) Walker, Nadine (Art) Wilber, Teresa Allen, Mary Boatman, Douglas Wallace, David Wallace and Don Wallace, brother and sister-in-law, Jeff Manahan and Kathy (Brian) Burkhammer, mother-in-law Geneva Manahan, 25 nieces and nephews and 24 great nieces and nephews, family friend Sherri Hodies.

Jon worked for several years at his uncle’s marina, Schuler’s Marina in Russells Point. He retired from the State of Ohio. Jon cherished being with his family, loved all family events, and always let the people in his life know how much he loved and enjoyed them. He enjoyed football games, fishing, boating, gaming, Christmas was his favorite holiday, and going to the beach. His genuine heart will be forever missed by his loved ones.

Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH on Tuesday, July 11, from 3 to 5 p.m. Memorial service to follow at 5 p.m. with Marti Hurd officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to help with funeral expenses.
