JoAnn Marie Doty (Parker), 86 of Cable, passed away, Saturday, April 22, 2023 in Mercy Health Urbana Hospital.
She was born December 16, 1936, in Champaign County, Ohio the daughter of the late Brice and Elsie Parker.
JoAnn attended Concord and Salem schools where she was a cheerleader. She and her husband farmed in the Mingo Valley for more than 50 years. For 29 years, JoAnn owned The Trumpet Vine gift shop in West Liberty. She enjoyed decorating and visiting with her many customers. She attended Mt. Carmel Friends Church. She and her late husband John were married for 65 years.
JoAnn is survived by her son, John Douglas (Sarah) Doty, daughters, Rebecca (Mark) Neer, Deborah Ryder, Sandra (Ron) Bahan and Amanda (Thad) Robison; her grandchildren, Molly (Jason) Wearly, Marcy (Jarod) Arden, Abby Neer, Jason (Valerie) Ryder, Katie Ryder, Haley Ryder, Wesley (Holly) Bahan, Wade (Jessica) Bahan, Leslie (Steven) Hurst, Brittany (Andrew) Napier, Summer Doty, Zane Robison and Wyatt Robison; 20 great-grandchildren; her sister, Linda Kreglow; her sister-in-law, Mary Powell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband and parents; sisters, Mary Bailey and Jean Johnson and a brother Herbert Parker.
A memorial service will be at noon Saturday, April 29, in Mt. Carmel Friends Church, 3470 Kennard-Kingscreek Rd. Cable, Ohio with Pastor Jereme Proudman officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon prior to the service at the church.
A graveside service will be conducted with immediate family.
