Janie Carol (Baldwin) Haddix was welcomed into the arms of our Lord on Feb. 4, 2025, after a short illness.
She was the daughter of Mitchel and Peggy Baldwin, who preceded her in death. She came into this world October 12, 1952, at her family home in Kentucky.
Janie married Stephen Haddix on July 9, 1971, in Urbana. They have 2 children. Stacie (Bryan) Pulley and Jason (Kim) Haddix. She was blessed with a granddaughter Morgan (Cody) Monroe and 2 bonus grandchildren Lexi and Dakota Pulley. She has 5 great-grandchildren, Breylan, Kaison, Myles, Hayes and Raegan.
She was the oldest of 7 children. Deb (John) Davis, Rick Baldwin (who passed in 2023), David (Pam) Baldwin, Sandy (Jeff) Rogan, Rhonda (Chris) Woods, Lisa (Jodie) Baldwin.
She was a graduate of Urbana High School and Urbana University with a bachelor’s degree in social work. She was a Hospice Social Worker at Universal Home and Health of Bellefontaine and several area nursing homes. She loved working with the elderly.
She used her wisdom, learned from her parents, to raise a husband and her children. Her favorite hobbies were making crafts and going to craft shows.
She was a born-again Christian, belonging to the Hurricane United Baptist Church at Boones Camp, where she and her husband have served as head deacons for several years.
A life celebration will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home and Crematory, 5591 U.S. 68 South, West Liberty, Ohio 43357.
