Janet L. McIntosh, 86, of West Liberty, passed away at 8:40 a.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was born in Quincy, Ohio on December 28, 1937, a daughter of the late Jesse R. Comer and Marie (Black) Comer.

On September 7, 1955, Janet married Richard “Dick” H. McIntosh, and he preceded her in death on April 29, 2020. A sister, Janice Van Der Vaart, also preceded her in death.

Janet is survived by her five children, Dennis (Julie) McIntosh of West Liberty, David (Kelly) McIntosh of Urbana, Deanna McIntosh of DeGraff, Darren (Dianna) McIntosh of Urbana, and Douglas (Veronica) McIntosh of West Liberty; eight grandchildren, Melissa (Mike) Louden, Michelle (Morgan) Sullivan, Matthew (Ashley) McIntosh, Meredith (Michael) Kasper, Miranda (Nathan) Paulus, Michael (Eve) McIntosh, Mikalia McIntosh, and Maria McIntosh; 13 great grandchildren; two brothers, Larry (Marilyn) Comer, and Jerry (Teresa) Comer; sister-in-law, Barb & Jerry Haas; a brother-in-law, Robert & Susie McIntosh; close friends, Jack & Anne Grimm and their daughters MacKenzie and Maddie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Janet was a member of the Mac-O-Chee Homemakers, the United Church of Christ in West Liberty, and past president of State Cattle Women. She was an avid fan of West Liberty-Salem, Graham, and Northeastern athletics, always attending the sporting events of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, December 23, at the United Church of Christ, 212 Newell Street in West Liberty, where Pastor Karen Griswold will officiate a funeral service at 12 p.m. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.
