James L. “Jim” Rush, age 74, of Raymond, died Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Walnut Crossing.
Jim was born on August 12, 1948, in Piqua, Ohio, the son of the late James L. and Esther (Loy) Rush. He graduated from Marysville High School in 1966, and earned a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in 1970.
Jim worked for the Agriculture and Natural Resources offices for the state of Ohio in both Union and Logan County.
Jim is survived by his wife of 17 years, Dee Rush of Marysville; two daughters: Lyndsay Rush of Bellefontaine, and Shayla (Alex) Wolf of Huntsville; two step-children: Marcus (Molly) Humble of Delaware, and Jennifer (Eric) Bradford of Marysville; three grandchildren: Ashton and Graham Humble, and Adyson Bradford; a brother, Michael (Jean) Rush of Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Don Thomas Rush.
His family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 7, at the Ingram Funeral Home, 975 N. Maple St., Marysville. Services honoring his life will also be held there at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, with Rev. Kevin Kinnison officiating. Friends may again visit for an hour prior to his services. Burial will follow in Raymond Cemetery.
