Escaped Logan County Jail inmate Edward Morgan was located and taken into custody around 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, by troopers of the Ohio State Highway Patrol near Township Road 179 and County Road 10, Logan County Sheriff Randy Dodds reports.
Morgan, 44, walked away from a work detail at the Logan County Solid Waste District about 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Several law enforcement agencies assisted in the search for Morgan.
Additional charges are pending against the inmate.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is searching for an inmate who walked away from the Logan County Solid Waste facility at 1100 South Detroit Street in Bellefontaine around 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
Sheriff Randy Dodds identified the inmate as 44-year-old Edward Morgan. Morgan is described as being 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 190 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. At the time of his departure, he was wearing a light tan inmate uniform.
Morgan is reportedly not considered dangerous. He was incarcerated on possession charges.
