Charles E. Bray, 40, of Rushsylvania, was charged Friday, Oct. 6, with a felony count of illegal conveyance of drugs into a detention facility related to an incident at the Logan County Jail.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were informed by corrections staff that Bray possessed a banned substance as he was taken into custody at the jail.
During a detailed search of Bray’s person, corrections officers reportedly located a crushed pill believed to be suboxone in his wallet. Bray stated he didn’t remember that the pill was there.
No injuries reported in semi rollover crash
Joseph M. Litten, 39, of Columbus Grove, was cited for failure to control related to a non-injury crash Monday, Oct. 9.
Deputies report he was operating a northbound semi tractor-trailer on County Road 35 about 2:50 p.m. when he went off the right side of the road, and the semi overturned onto its side. The semi struck a fence at 1169 C.R. 35.
Damage was heavy to the semi, which was towed from the scene. The driver was wearing his seat belt.
• John M. Hoffer, 22, of Bellefontaine, was cited for failure to control related to a non-injury crash about 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7.
Deputies report he was operating a northbound 2003 Dodge Dakota in the 1300 block of south County Road 34 when he went off the right side of the road and then back onto the road. The vehicle went off the road again and struck a fence at the west side of the road.
Damage was heavy to the pickup, which was towed from the scene.
