Business owners and other community members gathered at The Landing Tavern in Russells Point on Thursday, Jan. 25, for a networking event presented by the Indian Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. Attendees enjoyed a free lunch as the Chamber handed out this year’s Indian Lake visitors guide. They also had customized eclipse glasses available for $2 each.

This month’s program focused on two areas: insurance options and solar energy.

Agents from Stolly Insurance provided an update on the 30 different plans currently offered. That was followed by a presentation from various organizations regarding the use of solar energy in Logan County. The Chamber remains neutral on the subject ,but offered the information at the request of the community.

In closing, Amber Fagan, Chamber president, thanked those in attendance for donating to this year’s Fourth of July fireworks, which costs over $100,000.

“Every little bit helps,” she said. “And it’s going to be out of this world.”

If you’re interested in joining the Indian Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, memberships are being offered at half off through the end of January. You can find out more at visitindianlakeohio.com.
