Riverside High School is preparing for commencement exercises for the Class of 2023, slated for 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 12, at the Riverside High School gymnasium.
Class valedictorian Sadie Hughes will address her classmates, along with salutatorian Alaina Snow. Pastor Michael Mitchell of the DeGraff United Methodist Church also is a featured speaker for the ceremony.
“Life isn’t how you survive the storm; it’s how you dance in the rain” is the class motto. The class colors are sapphire blue and silver and the class flower is the blue iris.
Sam Knight is the class president and fellow class officers are: Alaina Snow, vice president; Rachel Knight, secretary; and Simon Godwin, treasurer.
Rounding out the top 10 students are: Rachel Knight, Skylar Barhorst, Hayden Gammell, Siera Barhorst, Briana Bradley, Samuel Knight, Andrew Knight and Jade Copas. Fifty-five students are slated to receive their diplomas, pending the successful completion of requirements.
