First Christian Church, 215 E. Sandusky Ave., hosts a Good Friday service at 8 p.m. Friday for the downtown Bellefontaine churches. An Easter breakfast at 9 a.m. Sunday at First Christian Church. The Rev. Kevin Greenwald leads the Easter Worship service in the sanctuary at 10 a.m., with the sermon, “Christ is Risen!” Scripture: Matthew 28:1-10. Rosanna Keirn serves as the worship leader. An Easter Egg hunt is at 11 a.m. for children 10 years or younger on the front lawn.

First Lutheran Church will celebrate Easter Sunday with a 9 a.m. Easter breakfast, including a dedication of the “Feeding the 5,000” mural painted by Holley Milroy. The Easter Communion Service will begin at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary.

• Sunday at the Zanesfield United Methodist Church, Pastor April Phillips hosts a sunrise service at 7 a.m., with breakfast to follow. Scripture reading: Matthew 28:1-10, with testimonies being shared and flowering of the cross. At 11 a.m., a traditional Easter service will be conducted, with scripture reading from John 20:1-18 and the sermon titled, “The End That Wasn’t.”

East Liberty Church of Christ will observe a traditional sunrise service at 7 a.m. Easter Sunday. Worship service will be at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome.

• At Belle Center United Presbyterian Church, Pastor Ted Dennis’ sermon is, “Tell Me Where You Have Laid Him.” Scripture: Acts 10:34-43 and John 20:1-18. Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. and worship is at 10:30 a.m.

• At Rushsylvania United Methodist Church, Pastor April Phillips’ message is titled, “The End that Wasn’t.” The scripture reading is John 20:1-18. Join in person at 9:30 a.m. or online via Facebook, “Rushsylvania United Methodist Church.”

Common Ground Church hosts an Easter breakfast at 9 a.m. Sunday at Union Station, 613 Hamilton St. Take your favorite dish to share. The Easter service begins at 10 a.m.

• The Easter Celebration of First United Presbyterian Church begins with the SonRise Service at 7 a.m. in the Kirkmont Pavilion. An Easter Breakfast follows at 9 a.m. in the church’s Fellowship Hall with the Traditional Worship Service at 10:45 a.m. The Highland Ringer presents special music at the Worship Service. Everyone is welcome.

Hopewell United Methodist Church, 3746 N. U.S. Route 68, Bellefontaine, Good Friday observance 7:00 P.M. “Words from the Cross”; and Easter Sunday 9:30 a.m., “Where Have You Taken Him.”

• At Huntsville Presbyterian Church, Pastor Ben leads Easter worship with a sermon based on Luke 23:44-24:12 titled, “One of Us.” Matt Zarnosky will be the lay reader and Aryn Forsythe is the pianist. Worship service starts at 10 a.m., with Easter Breakfast at 9 a.m. in the basement.

Philadelphia Lutheran Church will be celebrating the Resurrection on Sunday, April 9, with breakfast at 9 a.m. and worship at 10 a.m.

• Join us at Gretna Brethren Church Good Friday at 7 p.m. for a drama presentation of the Living Last Supper and come back Easter Sunday morning at 7 a m. for SonRise Easter Gathering for the rest of the story told through drama and music. This will be the only service on Easter Sunday, followed with a breakfast for everyone to enjoy.
