Bellefontaine High School freshman and cancer survivor Kylie Eaton has twice battled cancer with courage, strength, and bravery like no other.
Currently, the local teen is facing a third battle with the foe she is all too familiar with, but her community is stepping up to support the strong young lady to face this challenge with the same fortitude she has so many times before.
Kylie has dreamed of going to Disney and flying on an airplane for quite some time. Her friends and family members want to reward her for the battles she has fought and give her something to look forward to during this current battle.
There are three ways that community members can donate or help Kylie reach her dream.
The first is to purchase a T-shirt with a quote from Kylie printed on the shirt at https://kyliestrong23.itemorder.com/shop/home. The deadline to order is Friday, Nov. 3.
The second way is private donations by check or cash to the Kylie Eaton Fund at Citizens Federal Savings & Loan in Bellefontaine or you may use this link to donate to the GoFundMe page at https://gofund.me/0c61205e. The GoFundMe page has a goal of raising $10,000, and as of Friday afternoon, $4,647 had been raised for the cause.
The third way to support and honor Kylie is to spread kindness in our community as she does every day.
“She may be short in stature but her personality is big, almost as big as her smile,” fundraiser organizers said. “No matter where Kylie goes people are drawn to her for her big heart and gentle nature; it’s amazing to witness.”
