Harry A. Collins, 37, of Lakeview, OH, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023, due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident.
Harry was born on June 25, 1985, in Dover, DE, a son of the late Mary L. Clark Mercer. He was also preceded in death by his partner, Roger Coleman.
Harry is survived by a host of his chosen family, friends, and canine companion, Brutus.
Harry was a 2003 graduate of Indian Lake High School. He attended Christ United Methodist Church in Lakeview. Harry enjoyed fishing, walking, gardening, creative cooking, creating handcrafts, reading, and studying theology. Harry was a kindhearted individual who never knew a stranger and would help anyone he saw in need. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Chad Salyers will begin a memorial service at 2 pm, Sunday, June 25, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview, with visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. A barbeque celebration of Harry’s life will continue at Indian Lake Old Field Beach from 3 to 5 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be given in Harry’s memory to Christ United Methodist Church or Logan County Cancer Society c/o Mary Rutan Hospital.
