Generous local hair stylists and innovative high school students partnered recently to raise money for an important cause that helps to feed local families.
Friday, Jan. 24, the stylists at Eclips by Design joined together with the Bellefontaine High School Service Learning class to raise $170 for the BHS Food Bank.
Throughout the day, Andrea Walker, Tiffany King and Sheryl Epps cut BHS staff and students’ hair.
The BHS Food Bank is in its third year and delivers a variety of groceries weekly to almost 40 local families. Students in Rick Reed’s Service Learning program plan, organize, and process the food weekly. Second Harvest Food Bank delivers the food weekly to BHS.
The money donated by Eclips by Design will be used by students to grocery shop for items not available in the food bank.
