The chill of a January evening was instantly warmed Friday night, Jan. 12, when Ron and Pam Pope of DeGraff received a houseful of surprise guests.
Their oldest granddaughter had planned to visit from Cincinnati, but a few moments later, the rest of the couple’s grandchildren also rang the door bell.
The Popes’ faces lit up in excitement when all 10 grandkids and significant others showed up with their pillows and pajamas in tow for a sleepover, just like when the grandchildren were youngsters.
“Wow, that was a real surprise,” Mr. Pope said.
“Well I should have made more lasagna,” Mrs. Pope said with a chuckle.
The grandchildren planned everything for their fun-filled evening, from playing games to the drinks, snacks and the 30-inch pizzas
Saturday morning, the family finished up with a full-fledged homemade breakfast prepared by the couple’s three daughters.
Grandchildren and significant others making the visit were Jasmine Miller, Jesse Kean and Kaitlyn Hawes, Gregory Bryant and Hannah Avila, Aaron and Hannah Kean, Clayton Duckro, Dora-Kennadie Bryant and Sylvia Jenkins, Colton and Alyssa Duckro, Peyton Walker and Rebecca Snow, Peyton Duckro, Parker Hubbard, and Karston Duckro and Waylon Snow.
