Gloria Neal “Grandma Clown,” 82, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Green Hills Community, West Liberty.
She was born June 2, 1940, in Springfield, a daughter of Raymond and Lenora Ricketts, who preceded her in death, along with her former spouse, Harry Neal; her brother, Gene Ricketts; her son-in-law, Dan Johns; and her great-grandson Elias Dickinson.
Survivors include her children, Dee Johns of Bellefontaine and Merle Neal of Texas; her sister, Deanna Shaw of Florida; her grandchildren, Brittany Large and Tyler Dickinson, both of Bellefontaine, and Josh and Steph Dickinson of Texas; and great-grandchildren Tazia, Dravin and Reagan Dickinson of Texas, Aries and Rayden Large of Bellefontaine, and Zaidon and Liam Dickinson of Ridgeway.
She enjoyed making her own costumes and riding her bike. Her goal in life was to make others smile.
A memorial service will take place at a later date. She donated her body to science.
