Gerald E. “Jerry” Arnett, 80, of Quincy, passed away peacefully at 7:25 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Shelby County, Ohio on October 8, 1942, a son of the late Freeman Alan and Eva Louise (Hulsmeyer) Arnett.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joy Eileen (Bishop) Arnett, along with four children, Daniel (Reana) Arnett, Randall (Jennifer) Arnett, Andrew (Kristen) Arnett, and Amy (Nicholas) Allsop; six grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Leiss and Janet (Robert) Garcia; and a sister-in-law, Sue Arnett. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, John Arnett.

He was one of the hardest working and most personable people you would ever meet, making friends wherever he would go, whether it be on his job as a truck driver, or hanging out with his friends at the DeGraff Creamery.  He was a giving, caring person who was always willing to help someone in need.  Jerry was a wonderful father and grandfather who will be sorely missed.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street in DeGraff, where a funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Quincy, Ohio.

DARING & SANFORD FUNERAL HOME, DEGRAFF is honored to serve the Arnett family and encourages anyone to share a fond memory or message of condolence at www.edsfh.com.
